In addition, we have successfully prepared claims on behalf of our contractor clients hundreds of construction projects including major building, civil engineering and mechanical engineering projects.

China Light and Power Ltd

Contract Adviser to China Light and Power Ltd (CLP) engaged to recommend and negotiate settlement of claims and disputes between CLP and the main civil and mechanical engineering contractors in the construction of Black Point Power Station and Castle Peak A Power Station Emissions Control Project.

Hong Kong LNG Terminals Limited

Appointed by Hong Kong LNG Terminal Limited (HKTK) being a joint venture between Hong Kong Power providers: China Light and Power Limited and Hong Kong Electric Company Limited to provide an independent assessment contractor’s entitlement to time extension and monetary compensation for completion of an offshore marine berth and pipeline for receiving Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) to Hong Kong.

Macau Airport Authority

Engaged by the Macau Airport Authority to advise on the validityof claims submitted by the main contractor in the construction of the New Macau International Airport. Commendation received for the quality of advice given.

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd

Engaged by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd (MHI) as a commercial consultant for the construction of major Refuse Incineration Plants in Shulin and Hsintien, Taiwan, Macau and Phuket, Thailand. Provided contractual and commercial advice throughout the construction period up to and including settlements of accounts with contractors and MHI's clients.

YKK (Hong Kong) Ltd

QS and claims consultant to YKK (Hong Kong) Ltd (YKK HK) engaged to advise on variation valuations and claims in respect of all of YKK HK’s curtain wall and façade projects in Hong Kong and China.

Shangri-La Hotel Group

Contract adviser to the Shangri-La Hotel Group (Shangri-La) in respect of Hotel projects undertaken by Shangri-La, including the Shard in London, Boracay Resort in the Philippines and a hotel project in Vienna, Austria.

Dragages Hong Kong Ltd

QS consultant to Dragages Hong Kong Ltd (Dragages) engaged to advise on the validity of claims from subcontractors in the construction of the International Convention and Exhibition Centre at Chek Lap Kok, Hong Kong.

New Airport 3rd Runway

Appointed by the contractor (LT Sambo Engineering Limited) to prepare claims for extension of time and associated loss and expense in connection with the installation of approximately 25,000 large diameter Deep Cement Mixing (DCM) clusters for construction of a additional runway at the Hong Kong International Airport, including negotiation of the claims with the Airport Authority.

MTRC Contract 605 Tseung Kwan O Depot

Commercial manager / claims adviser to main civil engineering sub-contractor. Negotiated settlement of claims with main contractor.

MTRC Express Rail Contract 803A Roads and Substructure works

Commercial manager / claims adviser to main civil engineer sub-contractor. Negotiated settlement of claims with main contractor.

MTRC Express Rail Contract 811A Approach Tunnels

Commercial manager / claims adviser to main civil engineer sub-contractor. Claims for extension of time/loss and expense.

Tunneling Works for MTRC Extension Line Contract 904

Commercial manager for tunnelling works at MTRC Contract 904 including estimating, tender preparation and commercial management on behalf of specialist contractor.

New Airport Advance Works Contract

Contract / claims adviser to main contractor. Claims for delay and associated loss and expense. Negotiation of final account settlement.

New Airport Passenger Terminal Hong Kong

Claims adviser to specialist fitting out sub-contractor. Claims and negotiation of commercial settlement.

Government of Hong Kong Mediation

Appointed by the Government of Hong Kong as independent quantum expert to advise on a construction dispute between the contractor and Government which had been referred to mediation.

Redevelopment of Garden Bakery Sham Tseng, N.T.

Quantum expert witness appointed by the Defendant.

Residential Redevelopment Lam Tim

Quantum expert witness appointed by the Claimant.

Dong Jun Plaza Guangzhou, China

Quantum expert witness appointed by the Claimant in a case concerning the valuation of variations for E&M works.

Biopolis Project, Singapore

Quantum expert appointed by the Claimant in a matter concerning the alleged wrongful termination of a sub-contract. Evidence given in the High Court of Singapore.

West Rail Contract CC213 Tuen Mun Station

Appointed by the Defendant to prepare the statement of claim and to conduct all procedural matters in connection with an arbitration involving a contractor and a specialist piling sub-contractor. Represented the Defendant before the Arbitrator.

Shatin to Taipo Trunk Road

Appointed by main contractor (Defendant) to manage arbitration proceedings concerning a piling dispute, including preparation of submittal documents and conducting all procedural matters up to and during hearing of case.
